Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, popularly known as Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, is a famous Nigerian media personality. A lawyer, TV host and the host of Big Brother Naija reality show of 2017 and 2018.
Ebuka is popularly known for hosting the reality show Big Brother Naija, the long talk show Rubbin Minds on Channels Television and the co-host of Spot and Men’s Corner on Ebonylife Television.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was born on July 14, 1982 in Benin City, of Edo State Nigeria. He is an origin of Okija, in Anambra state. Born into a family of four, an older brother, an older sister and a younger brother. His father a banker and mother a nurse.
Ebuka had his primary education at Benin, Edo State.
After his primary education, he moved with the family to Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.
He had his secondary education at the Christ The King College in Abuja, and obtained his West African School Certificate in 1997.
After his secondary education, Ebuka proceeded to the University of Abuja and graduated in Law.
Ebuka then proceeded to the Nigerian law school in Abuja and graduated in 2005 and was called to the bar.
He however went further for his Master’s Degree in Law at the Washington College of Law of the American University of Washington DC in the United States of America. While at the Washington College of Law, he specializes in Intellectual Property and Communication Law and Government Program.
In 2006, Ebuka was picked as one of the 14 first season(edition) housemates of the famous television reality show “Big Brother Naija”. He finished in eighth place in the competition.
He was announced as host of the second season of Big Brother Naija in January, 2017. As well as host of the third season of the reality television show Big Brother Naija that was held in 2018.
He then hosted Friend or Foe shown on NTA, GLO Show also on NTA, as well as Guinness’ Greatness TV.
Ebuka also held a weekly column known as Contrast with Thisday Newspaper, for over 4 years. He also wrote for other publications, including What is New and Ace Magazines.
He however, hosted the first presidential debate during the general elections of 2011 in Nigeria, focusing on youth issues. The debate was broadcasted live throughout Nigeria.
He is also a freelancer as a master of ceremonies (MC) for events, ceremonies and concerts.
In 2013, it was thereby announced by the producers of Rubbin Minds, a popular television talk show for young Nigerians, that Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will be the new host of the show. The executive producer of Rubbin Minds, Williams Adebola then explained that Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has been an influential voice for young people in all matters of pop culture to politics in recent years and is the right man to anchor the show.
In the course of anchoring TV programs on Rubbin Minds, he has however interviewed some of the greatest young Nigerians like Banky W, Gbenga Sesan, Seun Kuti, Oluchi Onwegba, Davido, Wizkid, Flavor, Tekno, Japheth J Omojuwa and Chika Unigwe , among others.
In 2013, he co-hosts “The Spot”, a show combining a bit of reality TV with talk shows and sitcoms. Showing on EbonyLife Television on the DSTV 165 channel alongside Lamide Akintobi and Zainab Balogun. The show airs every weekend in 48 African countries.
In July 2014, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu joined Arit Okpo as a co-host of the Chat show “Naija Politics” on EbonyLife Television. The show features experts and speakers who discuss different issues as they influence Nigerian politics.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu became the host of “Men’s Corner”, the first Nigeria’s male television talk show in July 2016.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has won numerous awards and nominations in his career as an On-Air personality and television presenter.
In 2007 and 2008 respectively, Ebuka was nominated for the On-Air Personality category at the Future Awards.
He won the best TV host of the year (male). At the Merit Awards of the Nigerian national broadcaster in 2013, 2014 and 2015, respectively.
However, Ebuka was selected as a Global Shaper by The World Economic Forum in 2011.
In 2013, he was awarded by the Federal Government of Nigeria as one of the 100 best young Nigerians in one of the events to celebrate Nigeria’s centenary as a union.

On 15 April 2015, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was engaged to a Human Resource Manager, Cynthia Obianodo, in Lagos, Nigeria. And then on 6 February 2016, they got married in Abuja, Nigeria.
Moreover, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and his wife Cynthia Obianodo had their first child being a daughter on 8 November 2016.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is currently one of Nigeria’s richest and however most influential On-Air TV Personality and director, with an estimated net worth of $ 600,000.
